Egg Nog - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 doz. eggs, separated
    1/8 tsp. baking soda
    6 oz. light rum
    1 lb. sugar
    2 qt. half and half
    1 c. rye whiskey
    nutmeg
Preparation
    Beat egg yolks and egg whites separately.
    Then combine both and add baking soda, rum and sugar.
    Beat until stiff (5 minutes). Add half and half and rye whiskey.
    Stir to blend.
    Do not use a mixer.
    Chill and sprinkle with nutmeg.
