Beef Bourguignon - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1 1/2 lb. lean stew beef, cut in 1-inch cubes
    1 large onion, chopped
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 1/2 c. red wine (boil 5 minutes before using)
    1 can beef bouillon
    2 tsp. tomato paste
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    2 tsp. basil
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    1/2 lb. sliced mushrooms
Preparation
    Brown beef and onion in oil. Sprinkle with flour and brown. Add remaining ingredients, except mushrooms. Cover and simmer slowly for 2 1/2 hours. Add mushrooms in last 15 minutes. Serve over plain or wild rice.
