Peach Pickle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large can peach halves
    1/2 c. sugar plus 2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 cinnamon sticks
    1 tsp. cloves
    1/2 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Put peaches in glass container.
    Drain syrup from peaches; add vinegar, spices and sugar.
    Bring to a boil.
    Simmer for 10 minutes.
    Pour over peaches.
    Let stand for 24 hours before using.
