Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or margarine
4 (1 oz.) sq. bitter chocolate
2 eggs
2 c. buttermilk
2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. sifted self-rising flour
1 tsp. soda
2 c. sugar

Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease and lightly dust with flour two 8-inch square cake pans.
