Caramel Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    36 Kraft caramels
    1/4 c. water
    1/4 c. margarine
    3/4 c. sugar
    3 eggs, beaten
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. pecan halves
    1 (9-inch) unbaked pastry shell
Preparation
    Melt caramels with water and margarine in saucepan over low heat.
    Stir frequently until sauce is smooth.
    Combine sugar, eggs, salt and vanilla.
    Gradually add caramel sauce; mix well. Stir in nuts; pour into pastry shell.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes. Pie filling will appear to be very soft, but becomes firm as it cools.
