Yellow Squash Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 to 4 large crookneck squash
1 medium onion
40 to 50 Ritz crackers, crushed
1 to 2 sticks butter or margarine, melted
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Cut squash into wedges and chop onion.
Place both in a small amount of water and steam until squash is soft and onion clear. Strain.
Take a potato masher and mash out excess water.
Take a 2-quart casserole dish and layer squash.
Season with salt and pepper and some crushed crackers.
Pour some melted butter over layer and repeat until gone.
Bake in preheated 325\u00b0 oven for about 30 minutes or until lightly brown.
