Smooth Chocolate Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. (1 lb.) C and H powdered sugar
    1/2 c. undiluted evaporated milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    dash of salt
    3 sq. (3 oz.) unsweetened chocolate, melted
    1/4 c. (1 1/2 sticks) soft butter or margarine
Preparation
    Combine powdered sugar, milk, vanilla and salt.
    Mix well. Stir in melted chocolate and butter.
    Beat until smooth and creamy.
    Frost tops and sides of two 8 or 9-inch layers.
