Mother'S Night Off - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 medium potatoes
    2 lb. ground beef
    1 medium onion
    1 c. grated cheese (American or Cheddar)
    1 can mushroom soup (optional)
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Pare and slice potatoes.
    Place in bottom of casserole dish. Slice onion on top of potatoes.
    Place ground beef evenly over the top of potatoes.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 1 hour or until done.
