Grandmother'S Chocolate Picnic Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. sour cream
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla
1/3 cake Baker's chocolate
1 c. hot water
3 c. plain flour
1/4 tsp. salt

Preparation

Cream together butter and sugar.
Mix baking soda and sour cream.
Add eggs, sour cream mixture and vanilla to butter and sugar.
Dissolve chocolate in hot water.
Add salt to flour.
Stir in flour mixture, alternating with chocolate.
Bake in 9 x 13-inch pan at 325\u00b0 for about 30 to 40 minutes.
