Ingredients

2 egg yolks, beaten
2 egg whites, beaten stiff
2 tsp. sugar
2 c. milk
2 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2 sticks melted butter
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Beat egg whites stiff; set aside.
Combine sugar, milk and yolks.
Mix dry ingredients, add to yolks, milk and sugar.
Add butter and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
Beat until smooth.
Fold in egg whites.
