Mary'S Strawberry Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 large eggs
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1 pt. half and half cream
    2 (13 oz.) cans evaporated milk
    1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 pt. strawberries, mashed
Preparation
    Mix
    all
    ingredients.
    Pour
    in
    freezer
    and
    finish filling with whole milk.
    A few drops of red food coloring can be used to make a deeper
    color
    or use strawberry soda.
    Fill to 3 inches of top of can.
    Makes 1 gallon.
