Sauerkraut Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can sauerkraut (Bavarian is good also), drained and rinsed and rinsed
    1 chopped onion
    1/2 jar pimentos, diced
    1 green pepper, chopped
    2 stalks celery, diced fine
    2 green onions, diced fine
    1 large head lettuce, sliced thin, then chopped
    1/4 c. Schilling instant minced onions
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1 green pepper, diced
    1 pkg. frozen green peas, cooked and cooled immediately in cold water
    1 pt. Hellmann's mayonnaise (frost top like a cake)
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    Parmesan cheese
    bacon bits
Preparation
    Sprinkle top with last three ingredients and cover tightly in a large glass salad bowl so that layers may be seen. Be sure that it is well covered with plastic wrap and well refrigerated. Serves 12.
