Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 c. cake flour
    2 2/3 c. sugar
    8 eggs
    1 lb. soft margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. sweet milk
Preparation
    Separate eggs.\tBeat whites stiff and add 2/3 cup sugar (taken from the 2 2/3 cups).
    Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy. Add egg
    yolks.
    Add
    flour
    and
    1/2 cup milk.
    Beat well, then add egg
    whites
    and
    vanilla.
    Bake in tube pan at 300\u00b0 for 2 hours.
    Makes a large cake.
