Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. molasses
    1 c. buttermilk
    3 c. flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 egg
    2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Heat to boiling point the molasses and shortening, then add spices and soda.
    Next add baking powder and salt.
    Add milk and flour alternately, then add beaten egg.
    Pour into warm greased pan and bake in moderate oven (350\u00b0).
