Pumpkin Walnut Bread Pudding With Kentucky Bourbon Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. plus 2 tsp. unsalted butter (at room temperature) in all
    1 c. half and half
    1 1/2 c. heavy cream
    5 large eggs
    1/2 tsp. grated orange zest
    5 Tbsp. granulated sugar
    6 Tbsp. light brown sugar, in all
    1 Tbsp. minced fresh ginger
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
    1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
    2 Tbsp. Grand Marnier
    2 c. cooked and mashed pumpkin
    8 slices white bread, with crusts, torn into 2-inch pieces
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
    2 c. Kentucky Bourbon Sauce (recipe follows)
    fresh mint sprigs
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Lightly grease an 8-cup ovenproof casserole dish or mold with 2 teaspoons of the butter.
    In a large bowl, whisk together the half and half, cream, eggs and orange zest.
