Banana Split Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 small can crushed pineapple
1 small pkg. lemon gelatin
2 slices bananas
1/4 c. sugar
pinch of salt
1 Tbsp. margarine
1/4 c. chopped pecans
2 c. water
8 large marshmallows
2 tsp. lemon juice
5 tsp. flour
1 beaten egg
1 c. whipped cream
Preparation

Drain pineapple, saving 1/2 cup of juice; set this aside.
In a pan, bring water to a boil; remove from heat.
Add gelatin and marshmallows; stir until dissolved.
Chill until partially set. Toss bananas with lemon juice; fold bananas and pineapple into gelatin.
Pour into an 8-inch square dish.
Chill until firm. Combine sugar, flour and salt in pan.
Stir in egg and reserved pineapple juice.
Cook and stir over low heat until thickened. Remove from heat; stir in butter.
Cool.
Fold in whipped cream; spread over gelatin.
Sprinkle with pecans.
Chill overnight. Serves 9.
