Spoon Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. cornmeal
2 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
2 Tbsp. salad oil
1 c. milk
3 well beaten egg yolks
3 stiffly beaten egg whites
Preparation

Cook the cornmeal and milk until the consistency of mush. Remove from heat. Add the salt, baking powder, oil and milk.
Add the egg yolks. Fold in the egg whites. Bake in greased 2-quart casserole in slow oven at 325\u00b0 for about 1 hour.
Spoon into warm dishes. Top with butter.
Makes 6 servings.
