Ingredients

1 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. ground chocolate
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. chopped dates
1 c. walnut meats
1 c. boiling water
1 tsp. soda
3/4 c. mayonnaise
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. honey
1 egg
1/2 c. sour milk
2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon

Preparation

Cream the shortening and honey; add egg.
Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with sour milk.
