Beer Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. chuck, cubed
    salt and pepper
    6 onions, sliced
    1 clove garlic
    1/4 c. oil
    12 oz. beer
    bay leaf
    1/2 tsp. thyme
Preparation
    Brown chuck, onions and garlic in oil.
    Season with salt and pepper.
    To the beef, add beer, bay leaf and thyme; cook until nice and tender.
    Serve with whole peeled, boiled potatoes.
