Cracker Jacks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 qt. popped corn
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 sticks oleo
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. burnt sugar flavoring
    1 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Mix brown sugar, oleo, salt and sugar flavoring in heavy saucepan; boil 5 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in soda.
    Pour over popped corn, mixing thoroughly.
    Pour onto two cookie sheets with sides. Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 1 hour, stirring often with wooden spoon. Take from oven and separate while still warm.
    Let cool. Keep in closed container; stays crisp.
    Roasted nuts can be added to popped corn.
