Hot Shrimp Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    16 oz. can orange and grapefruit sections
    4 c. torn leaf lettuce
    1 onion, cut in thin sliced rings
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. cornstarch
    1/8 tsp. ground ginger
    dash of garlic powder
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    4 tsp. vinegar
    1 1/2 tsp. soy sauce
    1 c. frozen crinkle-carrots
    12 oz. frozen cooked shrimp
Preparation
    Drain orange and grapefruit sections, reserving 1/3 cup of the juice.
    Set juice aside.
