Herb Fried Chicken - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 fryer chicken, cut up
6 eggs
1/2 c. beer (optional)
1 to 2 c. flour
1/2 to 1 c. oats
1 Tbsp. salt
1 Tbsp. garlic powder
ground pepper to taste
1 tsp. red pepper flakes
1/4 c. fresh parsley
6 to 8 sprigs fresh sage
1 sprig fresh rosemary
4 to 5 sprigs fresh thyme
5 to 6 fresh basil leaves
1 1/2 c. canola or corn oil
Preparation

In food processor or blender, combine flour, oats, spices and herbs.
Process slightly.
Set aside.
Beat egg whites and beer until foamy, place in shallow dish.
Dip chicken in egg mixture and then roll in flour mixture.
Fry in oil.
Remaining flour mixture may be used to make milk gravy and served with chicken.
