Quick New England Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 small yellow onions, diced
    3 Tbsp. butter
    2 (10 1/2 oz.) cans minced clams, do not drain
    2 c. potatoes, diced
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 c. milk
    1 c. light cream
    1/4 tsp. paprika
Preparation
    Stir-fry onions in 2 tablespoons butter in large saucepan over moderate heat 5 to 8 minutes. Drain liquid from clams into pan. Add potatoes, salt and pepper. Cover and simmer until potatoes are nearly tender. Add clams, milk and cream. Cover and simmer 5 to 7 minutes, just to heat through. Add remaining butter and stir until melted.
    Sprinkle with paprika before serving.
