Hot German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 baking potatoes
    1/3 c. vinegar
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 lb. bacon, chopped
    3/4 c. chopped green onion or 1/2 c. chopped onion
Preparation
    Cook potatoes in jackets in boiling water.
    Peel and dice or slice thinly.
    Add vinegar and seasonings.
    Fry bacon until crisp. Combine potatoes, bacon, 2 tablespoons bacon fat and onion; mix well.
    Serve on lettuce with big frankfurters or German sausage. Serves 8.
