Lemon Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. white sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/2 c. milk
    2 c. flour
    1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    rind of 1 lemon, grated
    1 tsp. lemon juice from jar
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs.
    Add milk alternately with flour mixture, adding grated lemon rind during mixing.
    Put into greased loaf pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
    When done and while still hot, pour juice of one lemon with 1/4 cup sugar over bread.
    Allow to cool.
