Ingredients

1 regular size can sliced beets
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. water
1/4 c. vinegar
1 Tbsp. cornstarch or 2 Tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Mix sugar and cornstarch.
Add water and vinegar; boil together for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Add drained beets to hot sauce and let stand for 30 minutes, more or less.
Reheat carefully and serve.
