Minestrone Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1 onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic
    4 celery stalks, chopped
    9 c. water
    1 tsp. oregano
    2 tsp. beef bouillon granules
    1/2 c. small shell macaroni
    1/2 head shredded cabbage
    1/4 c. lentils
    1/4 c. split peas
    1/4 c. barley
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    2 tsp. basil
    1 (20 oz.) pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
Preparation
    Chop the onion, garlic and celery.
    Cook in oil until tender. Set aside.
    Boil the lentils, split peas and barley.
    Cook 15 minutes.
    Add onion, garlic and celery.
    Add tomato sauce.
    Mix vegetables and seasonings.
    Cook 15 minutes.
    Add macaroni and cabbage.
    Cook until tender.
