Golden Fruitcake(Makes One 5 Pound Or 3 Medium Loaves) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sifted flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. butter or margarine
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    6 eggs
    1/4 c. milk
    4 c. chopped pecans
    1 c. golden raisins
    1/2 c. chopped candied pineapple
    1/2 c. chopped red candied cherries
    1/2 c. chopped green candied cherries
Preparation
    Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
    Reserve 1/4 cup and set aside.
    Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk, beating well after each addition.
    Combine pecans, pineapple, raisins and cherries plus the 1/4 cup of flour/baking powder reserved before.
    Toss gently to coat.
    Stir into batter. Spread batter into greased, waxed paper lined 10-inch tube pan (or use 3 loaf pans).
    Bake at 275\u00b0 for
    2 hours and 45 minutes or until cake tests done (loaf pans take about 2 hours).
    Cool in pan for about 30 minutes.
    Remove and continue to cool on rack. Wrap tightly in foil and store in refrigerator or cool room.
