Cabbage Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium cabbage, shredded
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    1 tsp. Italian seasoning
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 c. Mozzarella cheese, grated
    1 1/2 lb. ground turkey
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
Preparation
    Steam cabbage 8 to 10 minutes.
    Drain and set aside.
    Combine ground beef, onion and green pepper in a skillet.
    Cook over medium heat.
    Drain well.
    Add tomato paste, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, garlic powder and Italian seasoning; mix well.
    Place half the cabbage into a lightly greased casserole dish.
    Cover with half of meat mixture.
    Cover and bake at 375\u00b0 for 25 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese; bake, uncovered, until cheese is melted and a golden brown.
    (Can be made into mock cabbage rolls by adding 1/4 cup raw instant rice to each layer.)
