Svestka Knedlik(Plum Dumpling) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1 beaten egg
    pinch of salt
    10 to 12 fresh blue plum
    just enough milk or water to make dough
Preparation
    Mix milk or water to make a dough.
    Knead a little. Roll out and cut 3 to 4-inch squares to cover plums.
    Take one square and roll up plum in it, sealing off edges to make round.
    Drop dumplings into boiling water with a little salt in it.
    Cook until tender.
    Drain well.
    Pour melted butter over dumplings and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon to taste.
