Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large green tomatoes
    1/3 c. cornmeal
    butter
    salt and pepper
    1/2 c. flour
    sugar
    milk
Preparation
    Wash and slice tomatoes.
    Sprinkle with sugar and let set for 15 minutes.
    Combine flour and cornmeal.
    Dredge tomato slices in mixture.
    Melt butter in large frying pan.
    Fry tomato slices until brown on both sides.
    Keep warm while making gravy.
