Bread And Butter Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    about 20 cukes, sliced
    1 green pepper, cut up
    3 onions, sliced
    3 c. sugar
    3 c. white vinegar
    1/3 c. salt
    1 tsp. turmeric
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    2 c. vinegar
    3/4 c. kosher salt
    fresh garlic
    grape leaves
    fresh dill
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/4 tsp. alum
Preparation
    Mix together in large covered jar.
    Wash and cut cukes into strips and put into jar mixture.
    Ready to eat instantly but the longer they are in the jar, the more dill they become.
    As you take some out, add more cukes.
