Cooked Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. milk
    5 Tbsp. cake flour
    1 c. xxxx sugar
    3/4 c. shortening (I use 1/2 butter and 1/2 shortening to make 3/4 c.)
Preparation
    Combine milk and cake flour.
    Cook on medium heat until thick. Set aside to cool.
    After completely cooled, add to pudding mixture the confectioners sugar and shortening.
    Whip until creamy.
