Marie'S Lemon Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    4 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. hot water
    3 egg yolks, beaten
    juice from 1 lemon
    1 Tbsp. margarine
    3 egg whites
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    dash of salt
    3 level Tbsp. sugar (per egg white)
Preparation
    Mix together the first 3 ingredients.
    Add the hot water.
    Cook until clear, stirring to prevent sticking.
    Add the egg yolks, juice from the lemon and margarine.
    Cook until done.
    Pour into baked pie shell.
    Top with meringue.
