Pineapple Sauce Cake Or Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2/3 c. crushed pineapple or applesauce
1 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs, well beaten
1/4 tsp. soda
1/2 c. nut meats

Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar until light.
Add eggs and beat well.
Mix soda with fruit.
Sift dry ingredients 3 times.
Add each alternately, beating after each.
