Banana Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 3/4 c. flour
2/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. double acting baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. mashed bananas (about 2 very ripe medium bananas)
2 eggs, slightly beaten
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease and flour 9x5 inch loaf pan. In a large bowl and using a fork, mix the first 5 ingredients. Using a pastry blender, put in the shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Using a fork, stir in bananas and eggs until blended.
Spread batter in a pan and bake for 55 mins. - 1 hr., or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Let cool before cutting.
