Vidalia Onion Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 Vidalia onions, sliced
    Parmesan cheese or 2 c. New York sharp shredded cheese
    1 stick margarine
    Ritz type crackers (1 or 2 stacks)
Preparation
    Saute onions in large frying pan with 1 stick margarine. Simmer, covered, 15 to 20 minutes, until tender and lightly browned.
    In casserole dish (2-quart) place half of the onions. Cover with the cheese of your choice.
    Next add crushed Ritz crackers, then repeat layers.
    Bake, uncovered, 30 minutes at 325\u00b0.
