Pumpkin Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. margarine
    1 medium onion, chopped
    5 c. chicken broth
    1 tsp. salt
    dash of fresh ground pepper
    1 lb. can pumpkin
    1/2 c. heavy cream
Preparation
    Melt margarine in a heavy saucepan and cook onion over moderate heat until soft.
    Add broth, salt and pepper and bring to a boil.
    Add the pumpkin, combine it thoroughly.
    Lower the heat and simmer, covered, for 45 minutes.
    Add the cream and heat through.
    Serve hot!
