Molasses Stack Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. buttermilk
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. molasses
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. ginger
Preparation
    Put self-rising flour in large bowl.
    Put hole in flour.
    Work in all ingredients.
    Make 4 or 5 layers.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 until brown.
    Put dried apples between layers.
