Stuffed Green Peppers - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 large green peppers
1 c. boiling salted water (1 1/2 tsp. salt)
1/2 lb. ground beef
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 c. coarse dry bread or cracker crumbs
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 Tbsp. chopped onion
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0 (moderate).
Cut stem end of each pepper and cut in half lengthwise.
Wash outside and inside.
Remove all seeds and membranes.
Cook peppers in boiling salted water 5 minutes.
Drain.
Mix rest of ingredients.
Stuff each half pepper lightly with mixture.
Place in a 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
Bake, covered, 45 minutes.
Uncover and bake 15 minutes more.
Makes 2 to 3 servings.
