Half-A-Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. flour (all-purpose)
3 eggs
1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
1/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. lemon extract
1/4 tsp. baking powder
pinch of salt
Preparation

Cream sugar, butter and shortening until light and fluffy; add eggs, one at a time.
Beat well.
Combine cake flour, baking powder and salt.
Add to creamed mixture alternating with milk.
Add extracts.
Beat 5 minutes.
Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour or until done.
