Sweet And Sour Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. bacon drippings or cooking oil
    1/4 c. brown sugar, packed
    3 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 c. water
    4 c. red cabbage, shredded
    2 apples, cored, peeled and sliced
    1/4 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
Preparation
    In a large skillet, combine drippings or oil, brown sugar, vinegar, water, salt and pepper.
    Cook for 2 to 3 minutes or until hot, stirring constantly.
    Add cabbage.
    Cover and cook for 10 minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
    Add apples. Cook, uncovered, for about 10 minutes or until tender.
    Servings: 6 to 8.
