Gerry'S Standard Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks butter
    2 c. sugar
    5 eggs
    1 c. milk
    3 c. self-rising flour
    1 tsp. vanilla or lemon flavoring
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add eggs, one at a time.
    Then add milk and flour alternately.
    Add flavoring last.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until done.
    Makes 4 layers.
    Top with your favorite icing.
    I use a cooked chocolate frosting.
