Ingredients

1/2 c. sugar
4 Tbsp. flour (plain)
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. milk, scalded
2 egg yolks, beaten
1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2/3 can coconut (Angel Flake)
Preparation

Mix dry ingredients.
Add milk slowly while stirring.
Cook in double boiler until well thickened.
Pour over egg yolks, stirring rapidly.
Add margarine and pour back into top of double boiler. Cook a little longer.
Remove from heat, cool and add vanilla and coconut.
Pour into baked pastry shell.
Cover with meringue and sprinkle well with remaining coconut.
Place in 350\u00b0 oven and brown.
