Coconut Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. plus 2 Tbsp. milk
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. cornstarch
    pinch of salt
    3 eggs, separated
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. coconut
    1 baked pie shell
Preparation
    Heat 3 cups of milk in top of double boiler.
    Mix the sugar, cornstarch and salt.
    Beat egg yolks and 2 tablespoons of milk; add to sugar mixture.
    Stir in hot milk; cook until thickened. Remove from heat; add vanilla and coconut.
    Pour into pie shell.
