Coconut Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    5 eggs, separated
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. coconut flavoring
    2 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3 1/2 oz. can Angel Flake coconut
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1 tsp. coconut flavoring
    1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Boil the mixture 5 minutes before putting on cake.
