Ingredients

4 large, ripe plums (about 1 lb. total weight), halved, pitted and thinly sliced
2 pears (about 1/4 lb.), thinly sliced
1/2 lemon, sliced
3 dried dates
1 c. brewed cinnamon herb tea
Preparation

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium and simmer, uncovered, until the fruit is tender and the liquid is reduced to roughly 1/2 cup, about 10 minutes.
Chill and serve in place of cranberry sauce with ham, turkey or other poultry.
Or for dessert, spoon it over low-fat vanilla yogurt, frozen or plain.
Makes about 3 1/2 cups, or 8 servings.
