Hushpuppies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 large egg, well beaten
1 c. buttermilk
1 medium onion, chopped fine
1 1/2 c. self-rising cornmeal mix
1/2 c. self-rising flour
Preparation

Mix together all ingredients just before the hushpuppies are to be cooked.
Drop by tablespoonful into 350\u00b0 oil.
As long as they are not touching, hushpuppies will turn over by themselves. If they need help, flip with a spoon once, and drain on paper.
