Sausage Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. mild sausage
    1 c. green pepper
    3/4 c. chopped onion
    2 1/2 c. coarse chopped celery
    2 (2 oz.) pkg. Lipton chicken noodle soup
    4 1/2 c. boiling water
    1 c. Long's cooking rice (uncooked)
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. blanched almonds or 1 (8 oz.) can water chestnuts
Preparation
    Brown sausage; pour off fat. Add pepper, onion and celery (saute in sausage).
    Combine soup mixture, salt and almond or water chestnuts to sausage mixture.
    Pour into large Pyrex dish. Bake at 375\u00b0 until hot (20 to 30 minutes).
    Can freeze before baking.
    Serves 10 to 12.
