Yummy Caramel Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    32 Kraft caramels
    1/3 c. light cream or evaporated milk
    1 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1 c. oatmeal
    3/4 c. margarine
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Combine caramels and
    cream
    in
    top
    of double boiler. Melt, stirring occasionally
    until smooth and set aside.\tHeat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Lightly butter

    x 7 x 1 1/2-inch pan.
    Sift flour, baking soda
    and
    salt together into large mixing bowl. Stir in brown sugar
    and
    oats.
    Using
    pastry
    blender or two knives, cut in\tmargarine
    until
    mixture
    looks
    like\tcoarse crumbs.\tTurn half of oat mixture into prepared pan and press. Bake 10 to 15 minutes
    or until lightly browned.\tRemove from oven and sprinkle evenly
    with
    chocolate
    chips
    and pecans. Spread with caramel mixture.
    Pat
    remaining oat mixture over top.
    Return to oven and
    bake
    20
    minutes
    or until lightly browned.
    Cool and cut into bars.
